Sadly, our experience with G Data did not get off to a great start due to how long the installation process was. However, things got a little better once we got into the program. The user interface is relatively easy to pick up. Ever application is listed as well as the status it is currently at. It is also extremely easy to change the status if you wish.
G Data covers all of its bases pretty well. Chances are, if you have a question, you’ll be able to find an answer. On G Data’s Website there is a sparse FAQ section, an emergency phone number and a request form for specific questions. They also have incorporated a help tab on the homepage of their program. However, we did not find it very helpful or easy to use.
For the price, G Data Total Care is a decent Premium Security Suite. It offers good Antivirus/Antispyware protection, a good firewall, and a solid backup system, all of which are important aspects of a security suite. However, it doesn’t come close to matching up with our top rated products, Zone Alarm Extreme Security, BitDefender Total Security and Real Broadband Essentials.
